ORMED INFORMATION SYSTEMS LTD. APPOINTS VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

EDMONTON, CANADA: Ormed Information Systems today announced its success in hiring marketing and sales veteran Robert (Bob) Lozeron as vice president, business development. To be headquartered in the company's Edmonton office, Lozeron will focus his energy on further diversifying Ormed's client base around the world and opening new avenues for long-term growth outside the healthcare sector, the MIS software developer's historical stronghold.

Making the announcement, president and CEO Chris Sherback said, "With 23 years of senior level marketing, sales, and service experience, Bob is ideally qualified to lead our pursuit of new markets, particularly in distribution and manufacturing. He brings new energy and market intelligence to our management team in Edmonton and is working closely with our vice president of sales, Steve Caughers, in Toronto."

Lozeron has been a consultant to Ormed since January 2005. From 1991 to 2004, he progressed upwards through Excell Communications, which was purchased by Phasecom America Inc., and, in turn, purchased by MasTec North America Inc. From 1999 to 2004, he served first as MasTec's vice president, southern US region, then vice president of residential operation and broadband services (New Orleans, LA).

"With the addition of Bob to our team, we expect to be very successful outside healthcare since our systems compete and win with all the large ERP vendors in healthcare," said Sherback. "We are looking forward to bringing superior integration, drill-down, and E-Commerce to other industries which need efficiency gains but have, until now, been hesitant to engage new technology because of price and other barriers to entry."
