NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SET TO CONTINUE TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE, INTRODUCE NEW IDEAS

 

EDMONTON, AB: Ormed Information Systems Ltd. announced today that Chris Wilkinson has joined the company as Vice President of Professional Services. Wilkinson has over 25 years of experience in general management, product management, marketing, operations, and finance, including over 7 years with Intuit Canada, a Fortune 500 Software Company. He will lead Ormed’s efforts to create a better implementation, support, and overall experience for all Ormed clients.

 

Wilkinson explains why he chose Ormed after establishing such a distinguished career in software. “Strong products, great support, talented staff, and demonstrated growth—Ormed is a great place to be, and I’m thrilled to bring what I know to such an exciting, fast-paced company. With economies flagging and healthcare’s renewed focus on expense management, Ormed has tremendous opportunities in healthcare e-commerce and financial software that I can contribute to.”

 

Wilkinson will oversee all Professional Services activities at Ormed. Ormed’s five product suite managers (Finance, Accounts Receivable, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Payroll, and Decision Support), as well as the Documentation, Project Management, and Client Services managers now report to him.

 

The VP of Professional Services role is inherently challenging, but Chris Sherback, President and CEO of Ormed, has no doubts. “We had been looking for the right person to fill this position for some time. We wanted someone who could help us improve processes and engage employees. Chris will help us build on the momentum from a phenomenal 2009 in terms of new clients—we welcomed over 30 new clients in Canada and the United States—and products, like our expanded AR offering, Consolidated Demand Management, Employee Self Service, and Management Dashboards. Chris’ focused software and staff management background will be invaluable in these ongoing efforts. I’m looking forward to seeing the results.”
