NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF R&D APPOINTED

EDMONTON, CANADA:  Ormed Information Systems today announced the appointment of Byron Sedgwick to the new position of vice president of research and development, reporting to Chris Sherback, president and CEO. The appointment is effective February 15, 2007.

Sedgwick has been a member of the Ormed team since 1999, and has for the past three years served as the MIS software developer manager.

“Byron has been an important and valued part of Ormed through the evolution of the organization and our products,” says Sherback. “He’s a strong leader and a ‘go-to’ person well-respected across our organization and our client base.

“In seeking to move our organization forward, we believe his addition to the executive team will help us affirm and grow our technological leadership in the healthcare MIS software industry.”

Sedgwick has a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Systems (University of Alberta).

He will continue to be located in the company’s head office in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
