Does Ormed provide an enterprise wide,
fully integrated business solution for hospitals?

The ORMED MIS software manages business processes in 5 distinct areas
of the hospital including Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Systems Management and Decision Support.

Each suite of ORMED MIS applications represents an efficient
and fully integrated business process within your organization.

Is your system HIPAA compliant?

Ormed employs the guidelines from HIPPAA
in the design of our security features.

How many hospital customers currently use your applications?

Ormed currently has over 5700 software applications
is use in healthcare facilities in Canada and the U.S.

Is Ormed Information Systems Ltd a new company?

Ormed Information Systems Ltd. was founded in 1986, and incorporated in 1989. Focused originally to help manage the supplies for "Operating Rooms", hence OR-MED, we soon expanded to encompass a fully integrated management system across entire administration departments.

What is OrmedX?

ORMED X is a secure Internet portal that allows you to exchange select information and ideas with healthcare partners and fellow Ormed customers around the world.

ORMED X connects seamlessly to the ORMED MIS software so that information normally generated by fax, email and telephone can be automatically retrieved via the Internet and used to update your information systems, at your discretion.

Real time information delivered directly to ORMED MIS software virtually eliminates information overload and keeps employees on the ball with information that is timely and accurate 24 hours every day.

How do you support customer users?

Support Services are provided on a remote basis. Emails are logged and
allocated to proper product specialists for resolution. Support personnel
have access to technical and programming expertise within the
organization to assist with the case.

Ormed's Support Services hours are 9am – 7pm EST, Monday – Friday.
Ormed's own internal Service Level Agreement (SLA) sets specific goals and objectives for response time and call resolution. Our standard response times far exceed service level expectations of one-hour response.

How are technology upgrades handled over the life of the contract?

All software updates, new product versions and related information are
available for download from our secured ftp site. All new releases of ORMED MIS will deploy a Pull Technology for product updates. Pull Technology automatically notifies the key IS contact that a new version or upgrade of installed products are available.

The IT department then automatically downloads and installs new versions
onto the enterprise system. Once loaded on the server, the updates or upgrades are automatically dispatched to each user the next time they open an ORMED MIS application.

Software upgrades are provided at no cost through the Annual Maintenance Fee. Training costs associated with upgrading would be incremental.

Do you have an active user's group?

Yes, Ormed runs training and technology forums annually that act as focus groups for its software products.

Describe how you price your products?

Ormed's software applications are priced based on the
operating budget of the Healthcare Facility.

Outline your approach to training and implementation of your applications?

A combination of on-site and remote web based training is employed.
On-site training is conducted in a workshop fashion.

This is undertaken to ensure that the training provided is relevant to and respectful of the client's environment and operational practices. It also affords
the organization an opportunity to make changes to some practices, or eliminate others that may not be required once the system is operational.

Do you provide a test environment for your applications?

Yes. The test environment is a mirror of the live system and
is clearly marked as a test system to avoid confusion.

Describe your experience interfacing to other hospital information systems?

Ormed has completed an extensive number of interfaces
with many of the healthcare system vendors.

Do you comply with all data information standards including HL7?

Ormed complies with all data information standards commonly
used in healthcare such as MIS, MSP, HL& and ANSII X.12.

Does your software applications support bar code readers?

Yes.

Does Ormed provide hardware?

Ormed does not provide hardware solutions or support.

Does your system support on-line and adhoc reporting?

Yes.

Does your software support EDI and e-commerce capability?

All Ormed MIS applications are web-enabled and support EDI
and e-commerce transactions.
